The Learning Zones at Stellar Academy provide opportunities that foster each and every intelligence, leading to a lifetime of successful living and learning. Researchers have redefined the idea of a single static intelligence. There are eight intelligences or ways of perceiving and interacting with the world. Each of these intelligences are nurtured at Stellar Academy.
Alphabet Soup
The Learning Zone of Verbal/Linguistic Intelligence
In the zone known as “Alphabet Soup” your child experiences the world of language and reading. Walls filled with words and letters gently ease children into literacy and school readiness.
This zone immerses your child in activities that nurture his or her ability to process and use words and language.
Curriculum specifically designed to:
- Communicate Successfully
- Develop a Sense of Security when Speaking to Others
- Understand Letter-Sound Relationships
- Build an Extensive Vocabulary
- Develop Linguistic Skills Necessary for School Readiness

CARNEGIE HALL
The Learning Zone of Musical/Rhythmic Intelligence
This zone immerses your child in activities that nurture his or her ability for pitch, tone, and rhythmic patterns.
As your child enters the zone known as “Carnegie Hall”, he or she is surrounded by the world of music. Children are immersed in musical activities and the sounds of voice, nature and instruments.
Curriculum specifically designed to:
- Promote a Sensitivity to Beat and Rhythm
- Experiment with a Variety of Instruments
- Create Rhythms and Tonal Patterns
- Develop an Enjoyment and Ability to Sing

DISCOVERY ZONE
The Learning Zone of the Naturalist Intelligence
This zone immerses your child in activities that nurture his or her interest in the wonders of nature.
In “The Discovery Zone”, your child experiences first-hand the wonders of nature. Tanks filled with fish, animals both real and imagined fill the environment.

THE LOUVRE
The Learning Zone of Visual/Spatial Intelligence
This zone immerses your child in activities that nurture his or her imagination and the ability to visualize the world.
A world of color greets your child as he or she enters “The Louvre”. Portraits from the Masters (both Da Vinci and Stellar students) fill the walls. Artful expression is everywhere.

The Learning Zone of Interpersonal Intelligence
This zone immerses your child in activities that nurture his or her confidence.
“Me, Myself, and I”, is the zone that nurtures a child’s self-confidence. Staying happy, healthy and safe is emphasized in this Learning Zone.

The Learning Zone of Logical/Mathematical Intelligence
This zone immerses your child in activities that nurture his or her ability for inductive and deductive reasoning.
Children’s problem solving skills are enhanced as they enter the zone known as “NASA (Number and Sequencing Activities).” Every aspect of this room is created to awaken a child’s awareness of numbers, connections and patterns.

The Learning Zone of Bodily/Kinesthetic Intelligence
This zone immerses your child in activities that nurture his or her body’s ability for movement and enhance fine and gross motor skills.
As children enter the Learning Zone known as “The Olympics”, they see their reflection in the mirrored walls. They can run, jump and play safely in a room designed to nurture their body’s ability for dance, sport and creative movement.

The Learning Zone of Interpersonal Intelligence
This zone immerses your child in activities that nurture his or her capacity for interpersonal relationships and helps develop an understanding of other cultures.
In “The U.N. (Understanding Neighbors)”, cooperation is the key as your child “travels” to exciting places and develops a greater understanding of people.
